I had to come up with a Keto Eggnog Recipe because I love eggnog and so far I’ve been working on a few different versions.
I love eggnog! There, I said it! When I started living the keto lifestyle, I didn’ really give much thought to the holidays. While I’m not one to consider all the things I’m “missing out on”, eggnog was one of the first things that popped into my mind when I thought about the foods I would need to avoid during the holiday season.
After I had spent some time thinking about it and reading the labels on every brand of eggnog at Walmart, I decided to try my hand at making my homemade keto eggnog. I won’t lie, I am an eggnog snob, and I have tasted lots of different brands and homemade versions over the year. My favorite brand is Southern Comfort Eggnog, and I have never tasted homemade eggnog that I enjoyed. That’s why I decided not to get excited about this little experiment. I plan to make five different eggnog recipes, and this was my first attempt. I tasted this recipe immediately after making it, and I wasn’t very impressed. Like many eggnogs, I have tried in the past it was bland and didn’t taste like my favorite brand.
Keto Eggnog Recipe:
The next day after it sat in the fridge overnight I decided to give it another try. OMG! It was EGGNOG! Real yummy eggnog with NO sugar! What what?!?!
I was thrilled, but I still plan to make the other recipes because I want to work on this one until I perfect it. Once I’ve made them all I will check back in and let you know which keto eggnog is my favorite so stay tuned!
So remember, you can try it the first day but leaving it overnight is worth the wait!
This is one of those great high-fat, low protein recipes. I don’t know about you, but I struggle to get enough fat without going over protein.

You can mix this in a blender, I love my Ninja Blender, or you can mix it with a Kitchen Aid Mixer. I considered whipping the heavy cream first and then combining everything else, but I decided not to. I may try that with my next recipe.

Does anyone else love eggnog as much as I do? If you make this recipe, I would love to hear how you change it up to make it your own or if you don’t change it, how you like it.
